Installed reclaimed maple flooring to two adjoining rooms. Sanded and refinished the reclaimed floor and an additional maple floor.Member Comments:I have had many experiences with contractors and carpenters this year, and this was by far the most professional and rewarding experiencing to date! I am so glad that I found Madison Hardwood Flooring -- my reclaimed floors look marvelous! I was very impressed with Michael's suggestions when he did my estimate -- he suggested refinishing the old floor in room-3 instead of laying a new floor. I can't believe the richness of that old floor and the gorgeous color! It is my favorite floor in the house!! In the other two rooms his team put down the reclaimed maple flooring I got off Craig's List from a home built in the 1950's. The floor is smooth as glass, tight and has a beautiful patina. My carpenter could not believe how nice the floor looked and was amazed that it was actually reclaimed maple.It was very clear that Michael loves his job, and is very knowledgeable. I felt comfortable following his suggestions from the start. He and his team arrived right on time every day, and finished the job in 3.5 days, exactly on schedule. I had no clean up to do myself, they taped off my rooms and cleaned up each night. I highly recommend Madison Hardwood Flooring.

Services: floor sanding and refinishing staircases (1st floor to 2nd, 2nd floor to 3rd). Michael and his team removed and disposed of old carpet from the stairs and landings, sanded, and stained the wood.

We were lucky that our new-old house had hardwood stairs under some quite old carpet, and Michael and his team did a great job on our stairs, revitalizing them and transforming them into a beautiful "new" staircase. Michael explained each step, showed us different stain options and clearly cared a lot about the quality of his work.

* More Weight is given to a report where work has been completed. Michael sanded and refinished the hardwood floors in my 1922 bungalow on the east side of Madison. He did the living room, dining room, hallway, bathroom and two bed room including the closets. My floors were in rough shape. I owned the house for 20 years and the floors were not in good shape when I bought it. I had not lived in the house for the past two years and the tenant left them in even worse condition.Michael and his team did an amazing job. When he came to my house he was professional, knowledgeable and it was apparent that he was very experienced. He gave me a quote at the end of our first meeting and he was able to start the work within a week. I was going out of town and left him a key to my house. I came back to a miracle!The floors looked fantastic. I actually cried seeing them and the finish wasn't even on yet.I also had him repair an area that was poorly altered sometime in the past. He was able to harvest boards from an unused room upstairs to complete the renovation.One of the biggest challenges from my point of view was removing the radiators to get access to that part of the floor. These cast iron beasts weighed hundreds of pounds. Not only did they move them but they even took the time to paint behind them which was not in the contract.Member Comments:I didn't refinish the floors prior to this because I thought that I couldn't afford it. Michael's prices are very reasonable. I've had a lot of work done to the house since I moved back in. For instance I had all the walls sanded, primed and painted but it wasn't until the floors were redone that people said "Wow! This place looks amazing! "Now that the floors have been redone they are so easy to clean. They brighten up the entire house. I absolutely love them.I recommended Michael to my Mom. Her house was on the market for 6 months. After they did her floors she had an accepted offer within a week. It made that big of a difference.As you can tell I can't say enough about Michael's work. If you want your floors and your whole house to look incredible. Call him!

Comments: Very reasonable rate, very reliable and prompt service. Would not hesitate to work with them for any future floor needs . We want to refinish our kitchen floor and want to do it with this company since we are very happy with the work they did with our 3 bedrooms
